Affymetrix

SNP 6.0

Affymetrix Genome-Wide Human SNP Array 6.0 represents a very high degree of genetic variation on a single array. It contains 1.8 million genetic markers with more than 906,600 SNPs and more than 946,000 probes for the detection of copy number variation.

GeneChip® Human Mapping 100K

The GeneChip® Human Mapping 100K Set consists of a set of two arrays offering an exceptionally high resolution copy number analysis using the established GeneChip® Mapping Assay.

It provides copy number as well as allele-specific information, so copy neutral changes can be established.

The mean marker distance is 26 kb -this way the Mapping 100K Set provides a very high genomic coverage (giving researchers more power to detect changes in chromosomal copy number).

The GeneChip Mapping 100K Set can also be used for other applications (including population genetics, linkage disequilibrium analysis, and whole-genome association studies).
