Affymetrix™ GeneChip^® Arrays

ARK-Genomics can offer an Affymetrix™ platform for expression analysis using GeneChip^® microarrays.  There are over 30 catalogue arrays available from Affymetrix™ - robust, simple representation focusing on the 3' ends. 

Gene Level Expression: for a selection of commonly used arrays of classic GeneChip 3' expression and latest Gene arrays from Affymetrix™ - click here.

Gene Arrays - use the same whole transcription levelling assay as the exon arrays. Lower cost gene expression analysis option available for human, mouse and rat.

Exon Level Expression

• Gene-level and Exon-level expression profiling can be carried out on the whole-genome scale using a single array.

RNA Analysis
ARK-Genomics runs a complete Affymetrix™ analysis of your RNA. For the current standard, 3' IVT Express protocol, we require 500ng total RNA. We will also still carry out the older labeling methods should your experiment require comparison to previous results labeled with these kits. Input amounts for these labeling protocols are from large (5µg) to small (100ng) samples available. Each label is QC checked through all stages of amplification and preparation for hybridisation. The raw scanned Affymetrix™ data is provided along with pre-analysed data that has been normalised and flagged for outlier features. Assistance with statistical analysis of the data is also available.

Data Analysis
Data is provided ready for analysis with your favourite statistical packages. For basic generation of genelists we are using either Partek or GeneSpring software. Assistance with the experimental design and analysis is available upon request. Statistical support with the analysis is also available.
